About Laser
Laser are an Energy Buying Group representing 106 Local Authorities and other publicly funded bodies throughout the south of England.
Laser offers a ‘holistic’ service to all of its members; our comprehensive approach covers everything from contract inception to invoice validation and payment.
This includes: Contract administration, Bill validation at point of payment, Query management, Procurement (fixed term or flexible), Contract support, Industry seminars, Support for energy management, with the facility to undertake as a full service subject to demand and resource constraints, E-billing and Deemed (directed) Utility / VAT principal.
Our approach to Energy Purchasing and Contract Management has evolved from 1989 when a small team of 4 people was established to service Kent County Council’s energy requirement. We now provide this service to 106 Local Authorities with over 60 full-time staff.
